HISTORY OF DEMETER AMPLIFICATION

2001

RV-1 Real Reverb is introduced at NAMM 2001 and wins the PAR Excellence award. Already used by Ry Cooder, Beck, Lenny Kravitz and many more.

New HX Series is launched at NAMM Summer 2001. The HXM-1 Tube Microphone Preamp and the HXC-1 Optical Compressor with improved solid state drivers by Burr Brown and as well as circuit and cosmetic improvements.

R&D begins for the new VTMP-2C Microphone Preamp, the VTCL-2B Compressor, and the VTTC-1 Tube Tracking Channel bringing the tube revolution to the next level.

2002

We decide to expand our pedal line. Work begins on the prototype of the COMP-1 Compulator, the first studio-quality compressor for guitar and bass as well as the only optical one available. We also introduce floor pedal versions of the MB-2B Midboost/Fat Control and BEQ-PB Bass EQ.

COMP-1 Compulator is released to raves by artists (Ry Cooder called it the best compressor he ever played through) and the press.

TRM-1 Tremulator is named by Guitar Player Magazine as one of the 50 coolest effects pedal of all time.

2003

COMP-1 Compulator is given the Editor's Pick Award by Guitar Player Magazine.

Design work is completed on the VTMP-2C Microphone Preamp. Early production begins at the end of the year.

R&D begins on the FUZ-1 Fuzzulator, the fuzz with focus as well as classic and modern tone.

2004

VTMP-2C Microphone Preamp receives great critical acclaim and is nominated for a Mix Foundation Tech Award, the only series of preamps to be nominated twice.

Work is completed on the FUZ-1 Fuzzulator and a limited release begins.

R&D begins on the FOD-1 Fat Overdrivulator and the STRM-1 Stereo Tremulator.

TGA-2 Guitar Amplifier is given more sonic flexibility and classy new looks and becomes the TGA-2.1 Guitar Amplifier

2005

FUZ-1 Fuzzulator is premiered at NAMM 2005 and the prototypes of the FOD-1 Fat Overdrive and the STRM-1 Stereo Tremulator pedals are shown.

The new and improved TGA-2.1 Guitar Amplifier is debuted at NAMM.

R&D begins on a new and improved SSC-1B Silent Speaker Chamber.

Limited edition release of custom painted FOD-1 Fat Overdrive pedals.
